National
Certification
Commission

The National Certification Commission is an independent
not-for-profit association established in June 1993, and is
located in suburban Maryland (Washington, DC).

The Commission provides information and assistance to
national associations on development and improvement
of certification programs in numerous professions and
occupations.

Members consist of 150 associations offering more than
300 categories.  The Commission is non-governmental,
not operated by a management firm, nor is affiliated with
product vendors; and offers objective, responsive, and
cost-effective advice to better serve your association.

Association membership is $100 annually and includes
all certification staff.  ACA, BCA, CCA, DCA, and ECA
designations are available for certification administrators
and committee members.  There are code of conduct
pledges for certification and association administrators.
National accreditation is also available for existing
certification designations (see the navigation bar).

Members (associations and individuals) receive monthly
the
newsletter "Certification Communications" containing
relevant articles and legal columns.  In addition, there are
weekly articles, surveys, and announcements.

Members may request previous articles, legal colmuns,
newsletters, and receive responses to specific certification
questions in a timely manner.

For availability of all website sections, see Page Access.

For association membership, please print and return the
application posted on this website (see the navigation bar).
Separate forms are available for individual designations
and national accreditation.
